1. Academic Staff offices are slightly inadequate in space and are not ensuite. Office equipment such as file cabinets and book shelves are not available in some offices
2. 34.8% of academic staff have not benefitted from staff development programme
3. None of the non-teaching staff benefitted from staff
development programme
4. Research and collaboration is inadequate and not multidisciplinary approach
5. Funding of the programme is inadequate

 

1. More spacious academic staff offices and books shelves and file cabinets should be provided for the programme
2. The university should ensure all academic staff benefit from staff development programme
3. The University should ensure all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme
4. The university should encourage staff and students of the programme to collaborate and develop multidisciplinary research projects
4. The university should provide adequate fund for theProgramme

 

The total score for the programme is 88.00%. It scored 37 (100.00%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
