DEFICIENCIES

REMEDIES

1. The degree projects are not well supervised as projects lack models.

2. The report of external examiners are not comprehensive enough.

3. The Academic Staff offices are not adequate in space and not well equipped with file cabinets and white boards.

4. The classrooms and offices on the upper floors of the faculty building raise safety concern as they lack preventive barrier on windows.

5. Books and Journals in the physical library are inadequate in number and currency.

6. The Windows (Windows 98) on the computers are obsolete and the internet connection is slow.

 

1. The degree projects should be well supervised and to make sure all projects have well developed models.

2. The University should impress it on external examiners to furnish the university with comprehensive reports.

3. The University should provide spacious and adequately furnished staff offices for the programme.

4. The University should endeavor to put safety barriers on windows of classrooms and classrooms on upper floors of the faculty building.

5. The University should procure more Book and Journals for the programme.

6. The University should upgrade the computers Windows to a more recent one and increase the internet bandwidth to ease accessibility of library E-resources.

 

The total score for the programme is 88.80%. It scored 32 (86.49%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (100.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
