1. The curriculum is substantially cover.

2. Interaction between the panel members and students of the programme reveals the students have not acquired the relevant hard and soft skills expected of or prescribed for their levels.

3. 38.5% of academic staff do not have PhD. degree programme.

4. 46% of academic staff and 79% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme.

5. Funding for the programme is not very adequate.

3. The University should ensure that all academic staff have PhD degree programme.

4. The University should ensure that all academic staff and non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.40%. It scored 27.7 (86.56%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 13.6 (85.00%) in Physical Facilities, 17.7 (98.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
