1. Practicals conducted do not adequately cover the curriculum in the areas of extraction procedures; and soil organic content determinations. 2. GC-MS and FTIR are inadequate in number and there are no air conditioners in the Chemical store. 3. Some academic staff offices are not equipped with bookshelves and file cabinets. 4. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

1. The University should ensure that adequate practicals are conducted to cover the depth and scope of the curriculum. 2. The University should ensure that adequate number of all laboratory equipment are provided for the programme in line with the BMAS and air conditioners installed in the chemical store. 3. The University should provide standard and well-equipped academic staff offices for the programme. 4. The programme should be adequately funded.

The total score for the programme is 94.80%. It scored 35 (94.59%) in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 23.5 (87.04%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION
Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
