1. The curriculum contains all compulsory courses prescribe by the BMAS across all the levels of study but over-bloated to justify a 5 years programme instead of 4 years programme for example GLG-492 (SIWES) 8 unit, GLG-494 (SIWES) report 4 units and GLG-496 SIWES Seminar – 3 unit total (15 unit).

2. 60% of academic staff and 86% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme.

3. Academic staff offices are inadequate in number as some senior lecturer shared office and one of the professor’s office is slight inadequate in space.

4. Library books and journals are inadequate in number and in currency.

1. The curriculum should be revised to merge the three course (GLG-492 SIWES, GLG-494 SIWES and GLG-496 SIWES) taken as GLG-492 SIWES 6 unit. Similarly GLG 453-Petrophysics I (2 unit) and GLG-553 petrophysics II (2 unit) should be merged with GLG-71-appied geophysics (3 unit).

2. The University should ensure that all academic staff and non-teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme.

3. The University should provide more offices and spacious offices for the academic staff.

4. More books and journals should be procured for the programme.
