1. Internal quality assurance system does not exist.

2. All academic and non-teaching staff have not benefitted from staff
development programme.

3. Staff offices are inadequate in number.

4. There is no active subscription for the programme.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

6. There is no evidence of research and collaboration for the
programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that quality assurance system exist, and
minutes of meetings documented.

2. The University should encourage all academic and non-teaching staff
to benefit from the staff development programme.

3. Standard and more equipped staff offices should be provided for the
programme.

4. The University should subscribe to at least two (2) relevant databases
for the programme.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

6. The University should ensure that there is research and collaboration
for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 77.98%. It scored 27 (84.38%)  in Academic Matters, 27 (77.14%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
