1. Students’ degree projects and course work are not properly supervised
2. Skills acquisition for hard and soft skills are not well taught to the
students.
3. 53.84% of the teaching staff have PhD
4. 69.2% of academic staff have benefitted from staff development in the
last three years
5. There are no projectors and public address systems for the
programme
6. Funding is inadequate for the programme

skills for the students
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff have PhD
4. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from staff
development training
5. Projectors and Public address systems should be procured for the
programme
6. The programme should be adequately funded

 

The total score for the programme is 88.89%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (82.86%) in Staffing, 17 (89.47%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
