1. Internal quality assurance exists but no evidence of meetings held.
2. Modern instructional equipment’s are inadequate in the instructional technology laboratory
3. Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are in adequate
4. 40% of the non-academic staff have not benefitted from staff development programme.
5. Funding for the programme is inadequate .

 

1. The University should ensure that there is evidence of meetings in terms of the quality assurance.
2. The University should ensure that they acquire digital and more modern instructional resources for the programme.
3. The University should ensure that there is more provision of fire extinguishers and sand buckets for the programme.
4. The University should ensure that all non academic staff should benefit from the staff development programme.
5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 82.40%. It scored 29 (78.38%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
