REMEDIES

1. Marking schemes are not well developed and inconsistent.

2. Students projects are not well supervised as formats and content are not consistent.
3. Relevant books and journals in the library is inadequate in number.

4. The E-library has only one active subscription and network connectivity is unstable.

 

1. Marking schemes should by well-developed alongside questions for the purpose of consistency.
2. The university should ensure that degree projects are projects are properly supervised.
3. The university should procure more relevant books and journals for the programme.
4. The university should subscribe to more databases and the internet connectivity should be improved upon.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.50%. It scored 30 (93.75%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
