1. The curriculum contains less than four innovative courses.

2. 39% of academic staff and 40% of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme.

3. Laboratory equipment such as one-way mirrors, white board and some first aid box are not available.

4. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. The University should ensure that all academic staff and non-teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme.
3. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme in line with the BMAS.

4. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.91%. It scored 32 (96.97%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
