1.The standard of test and examinations did not adequately cover the curriculum for the programme. 2. Marking Schemes are not well developed in some courses as bulk allocation of scores are observed in examination scripts for BAF 301 (Insurance and Pension Administration)and BAF 307 (Commercial Law). 3. The Students’ degree projects are not well supervised as there is no appropriate research process and projects are not uniformly organised. 4. 36% of the academic staff are not core to the subject area. 5. The staff mix by rank of 20: 32 : 48 meet NUC guidelines in only one category. 6. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

1. The University should ensure that test and examinations set for the programme are of quality, good standard and adequately covers the curriculum. 2. The University should ensure that marking schemes are well developed and bulk allocation of scores discouraged. 3. The University should ensure that students’ degree projects are well supervised by qualified academic staff of the programme. 4. The University should ensure at least 75% of the academic staff are core to the subject area of the programme. 5. The University should ensure a staff mix by rank of 20: 35: 45 as stipulated in the NUC guidelines. 6. Standard (spacious) and well-equipped offices should be provided for the academic staff of the programme.

The total score for the programme is 87.16%. It scored 27 (84.38%) in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
