REMEDIES

1. Projects are not well supervised as there is no uniformity in the format of writing.

2. 32% of teaching staff have not benefited from the staff development programme.

3. Classrooms seats are not well maintained, some are broken and constitute hazards to students.

4. Library physical holdings are not adequate in number.

 

1. The university should ensure that students projects are well supervised and there is uniformity in the format of writing projects.

2. The university should ensure that all staff benefit from the staff development programme.
3. All classroom equipment should be well maintained and broken chairs removed and replaced with new ones.
4. The university should ensure that adequate number of library holdings are procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.83%. It scored 30 (93.75%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.3%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
