1. Non- inclusion of additional/innovative courses in the curriculum.
2. Only 22.22% of teaching staff benefitted from the staff development programme.
3. None of the non-teaching staff have benefitted from the staff development programme.
4. Staff offices are not adequately equipped.
5.Equipment in the classroom is not well maintained.
6. Books in the the physical library are not adequate.
7. Internal Quality Assurance system does not exist.
8. Funding is inadequate

 

1. The university is advised to include at least four innovative courses in the curriculum
2. The university is advised to ensure that all teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme.
3. The university is advised to ensure that non-teaching staff are included in the staff development programme.
4. Staff offices should be adequately equipped.
5. Classroom equipment should be properly maintained.
6. Adequate physical books should be procured for the programme.
7. A functional quality assurance system should be created.
8. Adequate funding should be provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 79.17%. It scored 26 (81.25%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
