1. The digital laboratory and network laboratory stands as a single laboratory and the following equipment: signal generator, oscilloscope, digital meters, and signal analyzers are inadequate in number.
2. The computers in the simulation laboratory are low spec.

3. Furniture in the 500 seating capacity theatre are not well maintained.

4. Internet connectivity is slow and impedes access to e-resources.

5. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

6. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure a split of the digital laboratory from the network laboratory and that all basic laboratory equipment are provided for the programme.

2. High spec computers should be provided in the simulation laboratory.

3. Furniture in the theatre should be well maintained.

4. Internet bandwidth should be increased to enable ease of access to e-resources in the programme.

5. The Programme should be adequately funded.

6. The University should ensure that there is multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.08%. It scored 31 (93.94%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
