1. Only three innovative courses were included in the curriculum for the programme.
2. There were no practical manuals, and interaction with students showed the curriculum was not adequately covered.
3. The programme does not have a dedicated concrete and soil mechanics laboratory.
4. The following were not available for the programme:
Ultrasonic Palse Velocity tester
Concrete mixer
Vibrating table and
Hotpots

 

1. The university should ensure the inclusion of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load for the programme.
2. The university should ensure that practical manuals are provided for the programme and the curriculum is adequately covered.
3. The university should provide all important dedicated laboratories for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 89.08%. It scored 28 (84.85%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
