1. There are no innovative courses beyond the aside the ones listed in the BMAS.

2. The staff mix does not meet NUC guidelines in any category.

3. No staff development for non-teaching staff.

4. More Dental chairs and laboratory equipment is required for the programme.

 

1. Additional innovative courses not exceeding the minimum credit load across all the levels of study should be provided for the programme.
2. The University should employ Professors, Readers and Senior lecturers for the programme.
3. The University should ensure staff development for the programme.
The University should procure more 17-20 Dental chairs and additional equipment such as; Casting machine, pacobath and polishing machine for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 69.92%. It scored 26.5 (88.33%)  in Academic Matters, 17 (48.57%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (100.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
