1. Only 12 out of 21 academic staff (57.1%) have Ph.D degrees.
2. Only 14 out of 21 academic staff (66.7%) benefitted from staff development in the past three years.
3. Laboratories are not adequate in number to accommodate the number of students on the programme.
4. Classrooms are inadequate in number and space.
5. Inadequate bandwidths impede access to the e-library resources by the staff and students of the programme.
6. Funding is not adequate for the porgramme.

 

1. The university should ensure that all academic staff have Ph. D degrees.
2. All academic and non-teaching staff should be considred for staff development by the university.
3. The university should provide adequate and standard laboratories for the programme.
4. The university should provide adequate and standard classrooms for the programme.
5. The university should improve e-library bandwidths to provide adequate access to the available e-resources for the programme.
6. The university should provide adequate funding for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.80%. It scored 31 (83.78%)  in Academic Matters, 26.5 (76%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 14.5 (80.56%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
