1. The philosophy and objective of the programme is not
clearly defined.

2. The curriculum contains less than four innovative courses.

3. . 50% of the of the non-academic staff have not benefited
from Staff Development Programme.

4. Some of the furniture in the lecture theater are damaged.

5. Physical library books and Journals are inadequate in
number.

6. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that the philosophy and
objective of the programme provides adequate direction for
the lecturers to enable them produce the calibre of graduate
required.

2. The university should ensure that the curriculum is
enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses
without exceeding the maximum credit load.

3. . The University should ensure that all academic and
non-academic staff benefit from Staff Development
Programme.

4. Furniture items in the lecture theater should be well
maintained.

5. Physical library books and Journals are inadequate in
number.

6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.67%. It scored 26.5 (94.64%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
