1. There is no Innovative courses for the programme

2. Students final year projects are not properly supervised due to poor harmonize with references.

3.Practical work was not properly graded as scores on the mark sheets do not reflect on the practical workbooks.

4. Only two meetings (within a month) of the internal quality assurance system exist in the last three years.

5. 35% of the Teaching Staff have not benefited from staff Development Programme.

6. Professorial office are not well equipped with Televisions, Fridge and in build toilet.

7. Library journals are not current for the programme

8. Subscription to e-resources is inadequate.

9. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should include innovative courses in the curriculum above the minimum core/compulsory courses in the CCMAS/BMAS without exceeding the maximum credit load across all level.

2. Students final year projects should be properly supervised.

3.The University should ensure that, practical work are properly graded and reflected on the practical workbooks.

4. The University should ensure that internal quality assurance exists and effective.

5. The University should ensure that all teaching staff benefit from staff Development programme.

6. The University should ensure that professorial office are well furnished for the programme.

7. The University should ensure that more current journals are procure for the programme.

8.The University should ensure adequately subscription to e-resources for the programme.

9.The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 28 (75.68%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
