1. There is evidence of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) in
300 and 400 level
2.Examination questions are not of good standard and do not
cover the curriculum
3. Marking scheme exists but is not well developed
4. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space
5.Physical library books are inadequate in number

 

1. Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) should be discouraged
at 300 and 400 level
2. The University should ensure that standard of
examinations are improved and that examinations cover the
curriculum
3. The University should ensure that there is a well develop
and typed marking scheme for the program
4.Adequate number of well-furnished and Standard (spacious) offices should be provided for the academic staff of the program
5.More current books should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 82.93%. It scored 27 (77.14%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 22 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.6%) in Funding, 2 (66.6%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
