1. Supervision of the degree project should be enhanced
2. The internal quality assurance should be made effective
3. More staff core to the subject area should be engaged
4. Staff mix by rank must be consistent in three categories as stipulated by CCMAS
5. The management should ensure that more than 70% of the staff for the program have PhD
6. More non-academic staff should be engaged in staff development training
7. The program should be well funded

 

The total score for the programme is 77.60%. It scored 29 (78.38%)  in Academic Matters, 25 (71%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
