1. The laboratory equipment inspected meet the BMAS specifications covering the broad areas of the programme (by quality, quantity and functionality up to 60% but less than 70%). However, the molecular laboratory need equipment such as PCR machines, Agarose Scl electrophoresis unit, Gel documentation system 2. Academic Staff offices are inadequate in space and ill-equipped. 3. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The University should ensure that the laboratory equipment meet the BMAS specifications covering the broad areas of the programme (by quality, quantity and functionality up to 80% or more). 2. The University should ensure that academic staff offices are adequate in space and well equipped. 3. Improved funding is required to properly maintain existing physical facilities.

The total score for the programme is 91.20%. It scored 36 (97.30%) in Academic Matters, 35 (100.00%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION
Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
