1. Student logbook for the programme does not exist
2. Some Academic staff offices are not furnished with refrigerator and television.
3. Some White boards in lecture theaters are dilapidated.
4. internet hotspot are only available within the library complex
5.There is no multi-disciplinary approach to research
6. The library in holdings are not adequate for the programme

 

1. The University should ensure that student handbooks are provided for the programme
2. The University should ensure that staff offices are well-furnished.
3. Furniture items in lecture theaters should be well maintained,
4. Internet hotspots should be extended to other parts of the campusfor ease of access to e-resources in the library.
5. The university should ensure there is multi multi-disciplinary approach to research in the programme
6. The university should ensure that more library holdings are purchased for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 87%. It scored 30 (91%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 21 (78%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (78%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (100.00%) in Funding, 2 (67%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
