1. The curriculum contains only two innovative courses. 2. The curriculum of the programme is not adequately covered in the areas of environmental education, awareness and career opportunities for the students. 3. Marking schemes are not well developed as bloc allocation of marks was observed in grading the students’ scripts. 4. The programme does not have adequate number of technologists. The available technologists are shared with other departments. 5. Weather Station (although not mentioned in the BMAS is an important equipment) is not available for the programme. 6. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research and collaborations on the programme.

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credits load. 2. The University should ensure adequate coverage of the curriculum. 3. Marking schemes should be properly developed and utilized in grading, and bloc marking discouraged. 4. The University should engage dedicated qualified technologists for the programme. 5. The University should provide Weather Station for the programme. 6. The University should ensure that there is multidisciplinary approach to research and collaborations.

The total score for the programme is 93.28%. It scored 29 (87.88%) in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
B. APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION
Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
