1. Philosophy and Objectives are not programme specific.

2. The curriculum contains less than four innovative courses
3. Academic Regulation exist in student handbook but not well publicized.
4. Student logbook for the progrqamme does not exist
5. The lecturers of the programme did not analyse their course content appropriately to cover the course tittle
6. More 50% of staff for the programme did not benefit from the Staff Development programme.
7. Laboratory space is inadequate
8. 40% of the computers in the language laboratory are dilapidated and the keyboards are not in Arabic symbols
9. Funding is inadequate for the progarmme.
10. There is no multi-disciplinary approach to research

2. The University should ensure the curriculum is enriched with the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
3.Academic regulation should be well publicized,
4.The University should ensure that student handbooks are provided for the programme
5.The university should ensure that the lecturers analyse their course content appropriately to cover the course title
6.The University should ensure that academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.
7.A standard laboratory should be provided for the programme.
8.The University should ensure the laboratory keyboard keys are in Arabic
9.The programme should be adequately funded.
10.The university should ensure there is multi multi-disciplinary approach to research in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 78%. It scored 30 (81%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74%) in Staffing, 22 (81%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33%) in Funding, 2 (67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
