1. There are no innovative courses included in the curriculum for the programme.

2. The internal quality assurance committee does not meet regularly.

3. 50% of the non teaching staff have not benefitted from the staff development programme.
4. Academic staff offices are not well furnished with file cabinets, bookshelves, and white boards. most of the chairs and tables are obsolete.
5. funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The university should ensure that the curriculum is enriched with at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.

2. More meetings should be held by the internal quality assurance and their area of attention should be expanded to include students evaluation and visiting the classrooms when lectures are on going.
3. The university should ensure that all staff benefit from the staff development programme.
4. Academic staff offices should be well furnished and standard tables and chairs be procured for the programme.
5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.20%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97.14%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
