1. ACC 312 – Fundamental Accounting and ACC 414 Spreadsheet
Processing are omitted in the curriculum.

2. The Staff Mix by rank of 21.4:7.1:71.4 does not meet NUC guideline in
two category.

3. 33.3% of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from the Staff
Development Programme in the pass three years.

4. The e-library is subscribe to only one database for the programme.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

6. There is no multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

 

1. The curriculum should be review in line with the NUC BMAS/CCMAS to
include all the omitted courses.

2. The University should ensure the staff mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line
with NUC guideline.

3. The University should ensure that all staff benefit from Staff
Development Programme.

4. The University should subscribe to at least two relevant database for
the programme.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

6. The University should ensure that there is multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 92.00%. It scored 36 (97.30%)  in Academic Matters, 30 (86.00%) in Staffing, 27 (100.00%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the total score of less than 60%, the Panel recommended  DENIED accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  DENIED accreditation status for the Programme
