Internal quality assurance exist in the Department but it is not effective. 4. Marking schemes were not strictly adhered to in some courses. 5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

1. The University should ensure that all the non-academic staff benefit from staff development programme. 2. Spacious and well equipped offices should be provided for the programme. 3. The University should ensure that the internal quality assurance is effective in the Department to impact on the programme. 4. The University should ensure that the marking schemes are strictly adhered to. 5. The University should provide adequate funding for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 84%. It scored 37 (73%) in Academic Matters, 35 (94.3%) in Staffing, 27 (85.1%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (83.3%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (66.6%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
