REMEDIES

1. The practical works conducted did not adequately cover the curriculum for the programme as practical books for 200level and 300level student are not available.

2. Laboratory equipment such as: Clip Makers, Eeprom Digitizer,10-base T and 10-base100 cables are inadequate number in the Hardware Lab.

3.Teaching aids and equipment such as: Projectors, Public Address systems and chairs are not adequately maintained in the classrooms.

4. The academic staff offices for professorial cadre shared toilet facilities.

5. Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are inadequate in number.

 

1.The University should ensure that practical works conducted adequately cover the curriculum for the programme.

2. The University should ensure to provide all relevant equipment in the hardware laboratory for the programme.

3. The University should ensure that all teaching aids and relevant equipment in the classrooms are adequately maintained for the programme.

4. Standard and well-equipped academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.

5. The University should ensure that Fire extinguishers and sand buckets are provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.74%. It scored 28 (90.32%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (100.00%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
