1. The staff/student ratio of 1:20 does not meet the BMAS requirement

1. The University should ensure a staff/student ratio of 1:15
2. More non-teaching staff should be employed for the programme
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from staff development programme
4.The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from staff development programme
5. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain the PhD
6. More books and journal should be procured for the programme

 

The total score for the programme is 81.06%. It scored 33.32 (90.05%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74%) in Staffing, 20 (74.07%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
