1. The Department has not complied with CCMAS Guidelines for 100L and 200L
2. The Practical work does not cover the curriculum
3. 67 % of the non-teaching staff have not benefited from staff development programme in the last three years.
4. The Laboratory equipment are not well-maintained
5. Funding is Inadequate

2. The University should ensure that the Practical work cover the curriculum
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.
4. The University should improve on its maintenance culture for Laboratory equipment for the programme.
5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 84.00%. It scored 29 (78.38%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
