1. The following courses were omitted from the curriculum Biomechanics of Sports and Physical Activities, Attitude Development in Health Education and Contemporary Issues.

2. The academic regulations exist in the Students’ handbook but does not include rules and regulations governing the conduct of examination malpractices.

3. Poor sanitation was observed around the environment.

4. None of the non-teaching staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme.

5. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum be reviewed to include all omitted courses.

2. The University should ensure that the students’ handbook is reviewed to include rules and regulations governing examination malpractice.

3. The University should ensure proper sanitation around the environment.

4. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefits from the Staff Development Programme.

5. The programme should be adequately funded

 

The total score for the programme is 84.8%. It scored 37 (81%)  in Academic Matters, 35 (94.2%) in Staffing, 27 (81.4%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (83.3%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (66.6%) in Funding, 3 (66.6%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
