1. The curriculum contains only one Innovative course.

2. 47.9% of the academic staff are not core to the subject area.

3. 56% of the academic staff core to subject area do not have Ph.D
degree.

4. There is no Visual Science laboratory for the programme.

5. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

6. Physical library books and journals are inadequate in number and
currency.

7. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

8. There is no multidisciplinary bapproach to research in the
programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the
addition of at least four innovative causes without exceeding the
maximum credit load.

2. The University should ensure that core to the subject area provides for
75% or more of the teaching staff needs.

3. The University should ensure that all academic staff obtained Ph.D
degree.

4. Visual Laboratory should be provided for the programme.

5. Standard and adequate academic staff offices should be provided for
the programme.

6. More current books and journals should be procured for the
programme.

7. The programme should be adequately funded.

8. The university should ensure that there is multidisciplinary approach
to research in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 82.00%. It scored 33 (89.19%)  in Academic Matters, 25 (71.0%) in Staffing, 24.5 (90.74%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
