1. The Proportion of teaching staff core to the programme provides for only 72.2 % of the teaching staff need . 2. 33.4% of the academic staff do not have P.hD degree. 3. The Non-teaching staff are inadequate in number . 4. Music laboratory does not have the following essential equipment specified in the BMAS : Paino, Electronic equipment, Xylophone, Wooden flutes. 5. The Classrooms are inadequate in space. 6. Academic staff offices are inadequate in number . 7. Access to library e -resources is limited to the library complex

1. The University should ensure that the ratio/proportion of teaching staff core to the subject area provides for 75% or more of the teaching staff need. 2. All academic staff should be encouraged to obtain P.h.D degree. 3. More non- teaching staff should be employed for the programme. 4. All essential laboratory equipment should be provided for the programme in line with the BMAS. 5. Standard classrooms should be provided for the programme. 6. Standard academic staff offices should be provided for the programme. 7. Internet Hotspots should be extended to other parts of the campus for ease of access to e-resources in the library .

The total score for the programme is 86.00%. It scored 37 (100.00%) in Academic Matters, 30 (85.71%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 13.5 (75.00%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
