1. Non-inclusion of innovative courses in the curriculum of the programme.

2. The non-teaching staff are inadequate in number, they are only two (2) in number.

3. Only 50% of the non-teaching staff benefitted in the staff development programme.

4. Staff offices are slightly inadequate in space.

5. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The University should ensure that there is Inclusion of 4 or more innovative courses in the curriculum over and above the minimum core/compulsory courses stipulated in the BMAS without exceeding the maximum credit load across all the levels of study.

2. The University should ensure that the non-teaching staff are adequate in number and quality for the proper running of the laboratories and administration.

3. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefits from the staff development programme.

4. staff offices should be adequate in space and well equipped.

5. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.00%. It scored 34 (91.89%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94.29%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2.5 (83.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
