1 There are no innovative courses in the curriculum

2 Staff mix by rank of 17.1: 35.2: 47 does not meet BMAS requirement

3 None of the non-academic staff have benefited from Staff
Development programme.

4 Physical library books such as: Classical Sociology, founding of
Sociology, Research Method and theory are inadequate in number
and currency

5 Funding for the programme is not adequate

 

1. The University should ensure inclusion of at least four innovative
courses in the curriculum

2. The University should ensure staff mix by rank of 20: 35: 45

3. The University should ensure that all the staff benefit from Staff
Development Programme

4. More current books should be provided for the programme.

5. Funding for the programme should be further more improved

 

The total score for the programme is 88.89%. It scored 21 (87.50%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 14 (87.50%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.9%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
