REMEDIES

1. Some examination questions paper eg CYB206, CYB208 and MCIU-COS 106 are not well structured, and marks not allotted
2. Practical works do not cover 100, 200 and 300 levels. Practical start at 400 level
3. The laboratory does not have the following essential equipment specified in the CCMAS: Logic Analyzer, Volt- Ammeter, Breadboard.
4. Physical holdings are inadequate in number and coverage
5. The University subscribes to only one database

 

1. Clear structuring of questions and proper distribution of marks should be highly implemented
2. The University should ensure that the programme is structured to include practical work at all levels.
3. All essential laboratory equipments should be provided for the programme in line with the CCMAS
4. More current books should be procured for the programme
5. The University should subscribe to at least two database as prescribe in CCMAS

 

The total score for the programme is 87.40%. It scored 29.5 (84.29%)  in Academic Matters, 34 (97%) in Staffing, 24 (88.89%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72.22%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
