1. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

2. Poor implementation of staff development scheme.

3. The staff mix by rank of 68.4:05.3:26.3 do not fully meet NUC approved guideline in all the categories.

4. Staff/Student ratio of 1:38.7 does not meet the stipulation of NUC approve guidelines for the discipline.

5. Moot parliament facility for practical experience not available.

6. Physical library books and journals not adequate in currency

 

1. The programme should be adequately funded.

2. The University should ensure that both Academic and Non-Teaching staff benefits from staff development programme.

3. The University should ensure staffs mix by rank of 20:35:45 in line with NUC guideline.

4. The University should ensure a staff/student ratio of 1:30 in line with the NUC approved guideline.

5. The University should provide moot parliament facility for student practical experience.

6. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 85.32%. It scored 29 (90.63%)  in Academic Matters, 29 (82.86%) in Staffing, 15 (93.75%) in Physical Facilities, 15 (83.33%) in Library. The programme scored 1.5 (50.00%) in Funding, 1.5 (50.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
