1. The standard of tests and examinations do not cover the
curriculum.

2. The proportion of teaching staff core to the programme provides for only 57% of the teaching staff need.

3. 95.6% of the academic staff and none of the nonacademic staff
have not benefited from Staff Development Programme.

4. Some of the furniture in the classrooms are damaged.

5. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space.

6. Physical library books and Journals are inadequate in number and currency.

 

1. The University should ensure that standard of tests and
examinations is improved upon and tests and examinations
cover the curriculum.

2. The University should ensure that the proportion of teaching staff core to the subject area provides for 75% of the teaching staff need.

3. The University should ensure that all academic and nonacademic
staff benefit from staff Development Programme.

The total score for the programme is 83.49%. It scored 30 (93.75%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (74.29%) in Staffing, 13 (81.25%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
