REMEDIES

1. Practicals conducted did not cover the entire curriculum.

2. Staff mix by rank meet the NUC guidelines in only the Lecturer one
and below category.

3. The non-academic staff are inadequate in number.

4. There is no preparatory room in the Laboratory.

5. Some of the apparatus and equipment in the Library are not
inscribed.

5. All the apparatus and equipment in the Laboratory should be
inscribed.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.40%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 31 (88.57%) in Staffing, 23 (85.19%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
