The Head of Department is a Lecturer I despite the presence of an Associate Professor on staff. Laboratory space and equipment are inadequate. Office space is inadequate. Sand buckets are inadequate in number.

The University should ensure that the Department is led by a properly qualified academic staff, not below the rank of Senior Lecturer. More laboratory space and equipment should be provided for the programme. More office space should be provided for the programme. More sand buckets should be provided for the programme.

The total score for the programme is 90.00%. It scored 34 (91.89%) in Academic Matters, 31.5 (90.00%) in Staffing, 21 (77.78%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 3 (100.00%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.
