1. The available academic regulations are not well publicized to the students. 2. There was no formal provision for internship to enable the students acquire the necessary soft skills in their field of study. 3. 40% of the academic staff have not benefitted from the University’s Staff Development Programme. 4. The available space for the resource room was inadequate for the number of students in the programme. 6. The air-conditioners and other equipment in the classrooms are adequate but not well maintained. 7. Funding for the programme was inadequate. 8. There was no evidence of multidisciplinary research and international collaboration. 9. The available employers’ rating was not broad-based as it was from only 3 institutions.

1. The University should ensure that the academic regulations are well publicized to the students. 2. The university should make a formal provision for internship in order to enable the students acquire the necessary soft skills required for the programme. 3. The university should ensure that all academic staff for the programme benefit from its staff development scheme. 4. The university should ensure that adequate space is provided for the programmes resource room in line with NUC,s specification. 5. The university should ensure that globes, maps, multimedia facilities, interactive boards as well as info-graphics are provided in the resource room for the programme. 6. The university should ensure that the air-conditioners and other equipment in the classrooms are well maintained. 7. The university should ensure that funding for the programme is adequate. 8. The university should ensure that it engages in international and multidisciplinary research and collaboration. 9. The university should ensure that its tracer system and employers rating is evenly spread across several organizations/institutions to reflect the diversity of its graduated students.

The total score for the programme is 84.80%. It scored 34 (91.89%) in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 19 (70.37%) in Physical Facilities, 18 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 1 (33.33%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of FULL accreditation status for the Programme
