REMEDIES

1. Some Compulsory Course, such as CSC 301, Structure Programming, CSC 304, Data Measurement, CSC 421, Netcentric Computing, and CSC 441, Human Computer Interface were omitted from the Curriculum.
2. Only two innovative course was introduced to the programme.
3. External Examiner exist, but the work done is not of good quality.
4. Only 67 percent of academic staff have PhD.
5. Technologist are not adequate for the programme.
6. The hardware laboratory is inadequate in size and poorly equipped.
7. Books in the physical library are insufficient in volumes in relations to the number of students in the programme.
8. Funding for the programme is fairly adequate

 

1. The listed omitted programmes should be added to the curriculum.

2. The university should ensure that more innovative courses are introduced to the programme.
3. The University should engage a qualified and experienced external Examiner.
4. More academic staff should be sponsored to get PhD
5. More Technologist should be engaged for the programme.
6. A state-of-the-art hardware laboratory should be provided for the programme.
7. More current physical books and journals should be procured in the physical library.
8. More funds should be provided for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 82%. It scored 29 (78%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91%) in Staffing, 22 (82%) in Physical Facilities, 13 (72%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (67%) in Funding, 2 (67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
