1. Degree projects not consistent due to lack of proper supervision
2. None of the non-academic staff benefitted from Staff Development Programme.
3. Internet connectivity at the faculty is slow
4. The tracer system is not effective
5. There is a little multidisciplinary approach to research.

 

1. The University should ensure that proper supervision and uniformity are maintained in terms of referencing style for the student’s degree projects
2. The University should ensure continuous training of the department’s non-academic staff.
3. Internet connectivity should be improved upon by increasing the internet bandwidth.
4. The university should ensure the tracer system is efficient and effective.
5. The university should ensure that there is an effective multidisciplinary approach to research in the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 91.20%. It scored 35 (94.59%)  in Academic Matters, 32 (91.43%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
