1. Test and examinations questions do not cover the curriculum

2. 45.7% of the academic staff and 50% of non-teaching staff have not
benefitted from staff development programme.

3. Laboratory equipment such as microscopes and weighing balance are
inadequate in number.

4. Classrooms are not well maintained as broken chairs were sighted,
poor illumination, poor ventilation and lacks public address system.

5. Toilet facilities and fire extinguishers are inadequate in number.

6. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The University should ensure that test and examination questions
adequately covers the curriculum.

2. The University should encourage all academic and non-teaching staff
to take advantage of its staff development programme.

3. More microscope and weighing balance should be provided for the
programme.

4. standard and well-equipped classrooms should be provided for the
programme.

5. The University should ensure that fire extinguishers and toilet facilities
should be provided for the programme.

6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 86.55%. It scored 27.0 (87.10%)  in Academic Matters, 30.0 (85.71%) in Staffing, 22.0 (81.48%) in Physical Facilities, 18.0 (100.00%) in Library. The programme scored 1.0 (33.33%) in Funding, 3.0 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2.0 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the total score of less than 60%, the Panel recommended  DENIED accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  DENIED accreditation status for the Programme
