1. The classrooms and lecture theatres are not well lit and not well equipped with projectors and public address systems.

2. The number of Technologist is inadequate.

3. Only 61% of the academic staff benefited from the Staff Development Programme.

4. Below 50% of non- teaching staff have benefited from staff development programme.

5. Some equipment like Wind tunnel are too old and more models of motor vehicles are to be procured.

6. Classrooms are inadequate in number and not well maintained.

7. The equipment are adequate but not well maintained.

8. Academic staff offices are inadequate in space and not well furnished.

9. Safety and environmental sanitation is reasonably good but must of the fire extinguishers displayed have expired.

10. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

 

1. The classrooms should be well lit and well equipped with projectors and public address systems.

2. University should ensure to employ adequate number of Technologist.

3. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.

4. The University should ensure that all non- academic staff benefit from the Staff Development Programme.

5. The University should provide Wind tunnel and more number of Motor Vehicles for the programme.

6. Adequate number of well-maintained classrooms and Lecture theater should be provided for the programme.

7. The University should ensure to maintain all the equipment’s available for the programme.

8. Standard and adequately furnished academic staff offices should be provided for the programme.

9. Adequate number of fire extinguishers and sand buckets should be provided for the programme

10. The University should ensure to provide adequate fund for the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 79.20%. It scored 33 (89%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 18 (66.67%) in Physical Facilities, 14 (77.78%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 2 (66.67%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
