1. The university should add more innovative courses as only ENG 407, ENG 423 and ENG 443 were seen.
2. The University should endeavor to supervise students projects properly and ensure students and supervisors sign them accordingly.
3. The university should ensure students acquire more hard and soft skills relevant to the programme.
4. The University should engage External Examiners up to the current session as evidenced last in 2019.
5. The university should engage more core academic staff relevant to the programme.
6. The University should encourage all academic and non-academic staff to take advantage of its staff development programme, particularly in academic staff acquiring PhDs.
7. The University should make available more fire extinguishers and sand buckets in all locations.
8. The university should increase the bandwidth for faster internet connectivity.
9. The University should allocate more funds to the programme.

 

The total score for the programme is 80.00%. It scored 28 (87.50%)  in Academic Matters, 20 (57.14%) in Staffing, 25 (92.59%) in Physical Facilities, 16 (88.89%) in Library. The programme scored 2 (66.67%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored less than 70% in any of the four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  INTERIM accreditation status for the Programme
