1. Minutes of internal quality assurance meetings are not properly filed.

2. 35.7% of academic staff and 0% of non-teaching staff have benefited from the universities staff development programme.
3. The environmental sanitation on campus needs to be improved.

4. The journals in the physical library are not very current.

5. Funding for the programme is inadequate.

6. Tracer system not very effective.

 

1. The university should ensure that internal quality assurance exists in the department and minutes of meetings are properly filed.
2. The university should ensure that all academic and non-teaching staff benefit from the staff development programme;
3. The university should ensure that environmental sanitation is well maintained at all times;
4. The university should ensure that the recommended journals in the library are very current;
5. The programme should be adequately funded.
6. The university should ensure that tracer system for the programme is effective.

 

The total score for the programme is 89.08%. It scored 32 (96.97%)  in Academic Matters, 26 (78%) in Staffing, 26 (96.30%) in Physical Facilities, 17 (94.44%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 1 (50.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
