1. The curriculum contains three innovative courses.
2. Practical work did not adequately cover the curriculum.
3. All of the non-teaching staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme.
4. Classrooms furniture are not well maintained.
5. Physical library book and journal are inadequate in currency.
6. Funding is inadequate for the programme.

 

1. The university should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
2. The University should ensure that more practical work is conducted.
3. The University should ensure that all non-teaching staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
4. Furniture in classrooms should be well maintained.
5. More current books and journals should be procured for the programme.
6. The programme should be adequately funded.

 

The total score for the programme is 90.80%. It scored 33.5 (90.54%)  in Academic Matters, 33 (94%) in Staffing, 25.5 (94.44%) in Physical Facilities, 15.5 (86.11%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 3 (100.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 2 (100.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
