1. The curriculum contains only two innovative courses.
2. The proportion of teaching staff core to the programme provides for only 70% of the teaching staff need.
3. 70% of the academic staff have not benefitted from Staff Development Programme in the last three years.
4. There is no evidence of research and collaboration in the programme.
5. There is no tracer system in place.

 

1. The University should ensure that the curriculum is enriched by the addition of at least four innovative courses without exceeding the maximum credit load.
2. The University should ensure that the proportion of teaching staff core to the programme provides for 75% or more of the teaching staff need.
3. The University should ensure that all academic staff benefit from Staff Development Programme.
4. The University should ensure that there is research and collaboration in the programme.
5. The University should ensure that a tracer system is in place.

 

The total score for the programme is 82.11%. It scored 28 (87.50%)  in Academic Matters, 28 (80.00%) in Staffing, 15 (93.75%) in Physical Facilities, 17.5 (97.22%) in Library. The programme scored 1 (33.33%) in Funding, 0 (0.00%) in Research and Collaborations and 0 (0.00%) in Employers’ Rating. Based on the fact that the programme scored up to 70% and above in all four core components (Academic Matters, Staffing, Physical Facilities and Library), the Panel recommended  FULL accreditation status for the Programme.

B.    APPROVAL BY THE COMMISSION

Based on further analysis of the report, the Commission upholds the recommendation of  FULL accreditation status for the Programme
